As many of you already know, I am obsessed with nail polish. And I think out of any time during the year, I get the most excited over nail polish during the autumn and winter months. I am very happy to be putting away my neons to make way for darker, richer shades.
Here are a couple of my top picks for fall.
Just a note – I have not included any orange, which I do like to wear during the fall. I am going to be doing a separate post on orange makeup in autumn.
Also, if you read my blog regularly, you already know about my series, My Week in Nail Polish, where I take pictures of painted nails each weeks. If you are looking for more fall nail polish ideas, I paint my nails 2-4 times a week. Check out last week’s post here: My Week in Nail Polish 9/1-9/7/13.

I tried to choose a variety of shades ranging form sot red to dark grey. I am a huge fan of black nail polish during the fall, but I chose China Glaze Black Diamond as a nice alternative if you are not a fan of black or are looking for something different. I love plum during the fall as well, but I chose Julep Gabrielle because it was a bit more unique, being a smoky purple. China Glaze Zombie Zest is probably my all-time favorite shade to wear this time of year!
Which is your favorite shade? What other colors do you go for in the fall?
