I love seriously Halloween. I needed to start off by saying that.

I usually coordinate my nail polish for holidays, but when it comes to Halloween (and Christmas) I like to wear festive shades days or even a week or two in advance. It is the little things like this that help me to feel in the Halloween spirit and just a bit happier overall.

Here are my favorite polishes for Halloween:

I tried to pick out a variety color choices. I remember when I was a kid, orange and black were really the only two colors associated with Halloween. So when it comes to traditional Halloween shades, Zoya Gwin and OPI Black Onyx are my two favorites.

In more recent years, greens and purples have been incorporated into Halloween. For green, I really like OPI Just Spotted the Lizard, although pretty much every brand out there now does a shade exactly like this. This shade reminds me of ghouls and zombies – also, I now really want to watch Frankenstein. I chose two purple shades. Julep Reece is a murky purple with holographic shimmer and Julep Morgan is a deep, jewel-toned purple, almost leaning on the blue side.

Which of these shades do you like most? What nail polish are you planning on wearing for Halloween?
